Two operation have been realized in South Gabon, in Mouila and Tchibanga, and 5 ivory traffickers have been arrested by wildlife officers and judicial police. In total, 8 ivory tusks and 16 hippopotamus teeth have been seized. The wildlife smugglers are in jail waiting for their judgment.

We have been able to restart activities after the lockdown in Libreville. And it shows wildlife smugglers are also restarting their activities with the roads reopening. The maximum sentence for the 5 traffickers is 10 years in jail following the Gabonese law.
